To clean an ice maker, switch it off and unplug it if the model allows, discard the ice, and remove the bin and other removable parts. Wash them with mild dish soap and warm water, wipe the interior and ice chute with a soft cloth, rinse away residue, and let every part dry fully before restarting.
Use an enzyme-based urine cleaner, not fragrance alone. Blot fresh urine, then apply enough cleaner to reach the carpet backing and padding, following the label’s dwell time. Extract or blot without scrubbing and dry completely. Test any product first; if the odor returns after drying, urine may have reached the pad or subfloor and needs professional treatment.
Wipe soapstone countertops with warm water and a soft cloth after removing crumbs and loose grit. For daily soil, add a small amount of mild dish soap, then wipe again with clean water and dry the surface. Soapstone is durable, but test any stronger cleaner on a hidden area and stop if a mark appears etched, cracked or unusually deep.
To clean a whiteboard, erase all writing with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or whiteboard eraser. For residue, wipe with a barely damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap, then remove soap with clean water and dry completely. For stubborn ghosting, spot-test isopropyl alcohol first, use it sparingly, and stop if the finish becomes dull or sticky.
To polish stainless steel, remove loose dirt with warm water, a little dish detergent, and a soft sponge. Dry it completely, then apply a small amount of stainless-steel polish to a microfiber cloth and work with the grain. Buff off all residue with a clean cloth. Stop if the finish is coated, scratched through, or becoming dull.
