You can rent ships from rental kiosks found in major Star Citizen spaceports and commercial terminals. The exact location, ship selection, and availability can change between patches, so check the kiosk before traveling far. Choose a ship, select the displayed rental period, pay the listed aUEC cost, then retrieve the rental through an ASOP terminal.
In Star Citizen, press Y once while looking forward from the pilot seat to use the default exit-seat control. If nothing happens, move your view slightly and try Y again. A stuck interaction is usually a seat-state bug rather than a flight-control setting. Store and retrieve the ship to reset it; use backspace only when recovery is acceptable.
Sell most commodity cargo at a Trade and Development Division, or TDD, kiosk in a major landing zone, or at an Admin office in a space station. Bring the cargo to the terminal’s supported location, open the commodity trading screen, select the item and quantity, and confirm the transaction. If it is missing, check its location, type, ownership, and available demand.
To claim a destroyed ship in Star Citizen, go to an ASOP vehicle retrieval terminal, select the destroyed ship, and choose Claim. Wait until the claim is ready, then retrieve the replacement from the same terminal. The claim gives you a replacement hull; it does not restore the destroyed ship, its cargo, or its physical location.
To set your spawn point in Star Citizen, use a medical bed at a hospital, clinic, or compatible ship, then activate the bed’s regeneration interaction. Choose Set Regeneration Point, Set Preferred ICU, or the equivalent prompt shown by your build. Wait for the confirmation, then verify the listed regeneration location before leaving.
Open your character’s personal inventory, select the weapon, and either drag it into the matching equipment slot or right-click it and choose Equip. Confirm that it appears in a weapon slot before leaving the screen. This equips a handheld weapon for your character; it does not install guns or components on a ship, which uses a separate vehicle loadout system.
To request landing permission in Star Citizen, open your ship’s Communications MFD, select the destination’s ATC or landing-services contact, and send the landing request. You can also open mobiGlas, view the Friends list, and choose the location’s traffic-control contact. Wait for a clearance response before entering the assigned landing area.
You usually can’t quantum travel in Star Citizen because the ship is not in NAV/QT mode, the destination is not selected or reachable, calibration has not finished, or the route is being interrupted. Set a destination on the Starmap, confirm the correct travel mode, wait for calibration, then retry from clear space. If the route still fails, check fuel and reset the route.
Star Citizen does not use one universal ship-to-ship inventory transfer screen. Retrieve or land both compatible ships where you can access their cargo, move the cargo container through the location’s freight elevator, then use a tractor beam to place it on the receiving ship’s cargo grid. Confirm the container is stable and appears in the ship’s cargo status before departing.
Land your ship at a station or landing zone that provides vehicle services, then use the location’s landing-service or Vehicle Maintenance Services controls to request fuel, ammunition, and repairs. Submit the requests while the ship remains on the pad, let the services finish one at a time, and verify the fuel, weapon ammunition, and hull condition before departing.
